I thoroughly enjoyed your game and was excited to feature a review of it in issue #2 of My 8-Bit Syndrome magazine.

Nice text adventure that we already showed in our livestream in November last year. However, the stupid unskippable knowledge quiz as age verification at the beginning of the final version could have been omitted. Our German-language preview can be found at 01:16:35. English subtitles are also available. Subscription to our YouTube and Twitch channel is welcome. 🙂

Text adventure? Thats almost a point and click adventure (beside that you cant point and click :) , but at least you are able to control the characters movement via joystick - like Kings Quest) and theres ton of graphics. Therefor its a graphic adventure with point and click elements. And the age verification is well known and spot on for such an adventure (like Larry). Perhaps a help section at the end of the manual would have been nice. Beside that its simply amazing! Okay its a 1 MB cartridge (something which wouldnt be economically possible back then), but beside that its one of the best adventures for the C64.

I loved the game ...I am hoping there will be a sequel with more puzzles and bigger. Excellent work !

Please release it on disc or cartrdige!!! This game is amazing. I wondered all the time why all the Sierra games were released on the Apple II, but not on the C64 (beside the advantage of the 128k RAM of some Apple II). And now this is a prefect replica of Larry on the c64. Its simply amazing!!!!

We might release a physical cartridge, but it's not planned and guaranteed in the near future.

Release it ASAP ;) ! Amazing game!

Incredibly cool and fun game! Highly recommended.

Here's a VOD from the blind playthrough from SpiderMwa (spoilers!!!)

Thank you! Nice video :)

I have tried it on a Mega65 with the C64 core, unfortunately save didn't work to the disk image (stuck at "saving") and load did not work from the cartridge image ("save bank full, erasing") :(

Hey, could you send me an e-mail, which can be found in the manual?

I have tried it a few more times and found that the cause of the problem was that mounting the crt image unmounted the savedisk image.

Mounting the crt image first and mounting the save disk right after have resolved the issue: saving and loading using the savedisk image was successful.

Great to hear that you got that working!

i wish i was older when i had my c64 - i was only 6 years old at the time. I grew up on my C64 playing great games but i could never get these games by mother would have never went with that. even with her best friend brother that was a hacker and would give me stacks of discs :P 5 1/4 baby.

I had tape and DD drive ;P what what

A demo for C64 masters channel ?? Could be ??

Demo version added

Hi.  Easyflash save game does not work for me (when I try to load it).  I can save to disk and load back from it okay.
I'm running the game from an EFIII cartridge on a CBM64 (PAL).

Okey, I'll investigate this.

Just wondering. It's "English only"? Or does it contain other languages too?

(+1)

English only at the moment.

Thanks for the info/update :-). Keep up the good work! :-)

Thank you for this beautiful looking spoof! :3 Al Lowe would certainly smile on it, too! And it's a technical achievement, too! The C64 is woefully undernourished when it comes to adventure games, right?

Oh just one thing. Same story as in any Larry game. JUST because I am 49 years old, I would still have to look up some quiz questions ^^. Oh and it'd be amazing if you could play entirely using the keyboard. Or at least walk around somehow without the joystick. But high praises for making this game. I hope you make more adventure games.

Made a little video using Vice for the first 10 minutes of the game on my peertube instance.

Enjoy!

Will there be a physical edition? It would be fantastic.

Poor Larry rotates in his grave. Thankfully a real LSL game will come out, too. I cannot endorse this. sorry.

Played it using both my sd2iec (to save game) and my KFF2. Works great. I passed the angry husband part and finished it. The end makes me laugh a lot.

Excellent homage to Leisure Suit Larry.

Awesome game!

Thank you! :) Herra 47: Midsummer Festival

I bought the game, but there's only a crt file, no disk

(+1)

It is a cartridge image file. In Vice, you can connect it using ALT+C shortcut. Or you can put it on a SD Card if you have an EasyFlash / Kung Fu Flash 1 or 2.

I know what it is, I was wondering why the table says to load the disk version on certain platforms, but there's no disk

The table is about save/load game feature and indicates the Save Target

Oops! My bad. By the way, disk saving is working on a real C64 if you use at the same time a sd2iec and a KFF 1/2.

I added an empty save disk to the download section.

Thanks! Very useful!

Just purchased it! Going to play it tonight!

You'll find it hard and hilarious. Some game over are interesting... Don't forget to pay your taxi and you'll get into troubles... Or don't have fun without protection!
